a long time has passed since the last update but here we go again.

Since a few weeks we’re having a weekly meetup for artists of all fields in Hamburg, so if you’re around come join us for a sketching session!

We regulary meet wednesdays to catch a drink and talk about all the stuff that interests us at that moment.

This and That

Ola,
I’m on tumblr now. Why? I don’t know. I clearly have no life, all these channels I have to update frequently… I wonder wether or not this has any impact on my success. Probably not. If I’d work instead of keeping a non-existent audience up-to-date, I’d become better in arts. That’d be something, eh?

University Application – HAW Hamburg

Hi folks,

As some of you might know I’ve been in Hamburg the last two days for the qualification test at the University of Applied Science Hamburg. I applicated a while ago with my application portfolio in shape of a Din A2 folder containing 50/50 traditional art as well as digital pieces. Most of the digital work that I printed out for the folder was stuff that I did a while back in the past and the traditional work on the other hand has been made specifically for the application. Since I don’t work traditionally that often I thought it might be interesting to see for you guys how my style differs intermedially and also what I put in the folder to hopefully pass the tests and become a student at one of the most famous german unis for illustration.

So here we go, these are just a few pieces I had in the folder, as always critique is more than welcome!

Also for those of you interested in how the tests over the last two days have been: I had a lot of fun working on the given tasks (4 illustrations had to be made + one text had to be written to a popular quote), the other applicants are over the edge awesome as well as the uni-buildings that I will hopefully study in. And the mood was something in between heaven and being on ecstasy. You could see creativity floating around in the rooms. Still, I don’t know whether I will succeed or not
